Clinton County, IL Boy Scout Electronic Recycling Drive

Great opportunity to rid yourself of unused electronics and help Troop 281
Carlyle, IL Boy Scout Troop 281 has a Electronic Recycling Drive Scheduled for Saturday, March 31. The location is the Carlyle City Pool Parking Lot on Lake Road.  Do not throw your old electronics away, instead “donate” them to the Boy Scouts for recycling.

The Boy Scouts will be at the Carlyle City Pool Parking Lot on Lake Road in Carlyle between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. to accept your recycled electronics. Junk items to be accepted include computers, keyboards, monitors, external drives, printers, scanners, copiers, adding machines, televisions, radios, and anything else that has a cord attached. The Boy Scouts will also accept your aluminum cans.

In particular, this is an excellent opportunity to get rid of old computer monitors and television which should never just be thrown away due to the hazaradous waste they contain. Instead of paying to throw this stuff away, just give it to the Boy Scouts. Electronics do not need to be working either! What a deal!
Money raised from the recycled items will benefit costs for Boy Scout summer camps.
